REQUIRED ORIENTATION

Date: Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026
Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Location: Escuela Verde (3628 W. Pierce St.)
Focus: Understanding the program and schedule, co-creating Unity Agreements, cultivating a sense of belonging in fun, interactive ways, and, most importantly, getting to know each other!
INTERNSHIP

Dates: Mar. 3 - May 18, 2026
Days/times: Tue/Thu 5:00 - 6:30 pm (virtual) + Sat 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (in person), with required resume workshop on May 18
In-person location: Escuela Verde

Learn and utilize healthy nutrition basics

Practice culinary skills to bring out your inner chef

Learn from chefs how to design and cook healthy meals

Participate in a Supermarket Challenge to create a family meal on a budget

Building a resume and developing professional skills
I now know what decisions are better for me and I am able to trust myself to make the right choices. I am informed enough to know ways that can help improve my life. This internship helped introduce me to many areas of life like nutrition which will definitely help me feel more prepared as I grow into an adult and have to make important decisions.
